This is also to feel like a temporary destroy wall which was introduced on the game’s Chapter 4.īelow (see right to left) is an example of Cut the Rope’s Electric Sparks to Capshot’s Electric Walls (turned Off and On): That is to match how the electric walls will destroy the game’s Carom disc. It is a similar idea to how the referenced game for Capshot, Cut the Rope did their electric sparks which also will destroy the candy. ![]() To add a unique challenge when players came to chapter 7, Capshot’s second last chapter, I proposed an obstacle design that could use two points and particle effects to create the Electricity. Also I picked 4 levels from each game to for proper referencing. It did show that there are changes to the base mechanics when it came to a new level inside a different chapter. Each is to show how the difficulty scales with each level in a chapter or box instead of a continuous difficulty inclination. The images above are to compare how the difficulty scaling is done when it came to both the reference of Cut the Rope’s 1st game and for Capshot. Although some of the gameplay footage is sub-optimal. Below are 2 links to the mock ups of the levels which I have worked on, they are categorized in sets of around 40 per link. Changes and edits were applied to the levels to make them feel like there is a proper player learning curve. The levels were 1st created as mockups on Google draw.io, then the levels were built in the Unity game engine. 79 of the total levels for Capshot were designed and created by myself as both mockups and then on the game engine afterwards.Īnother which I will touch on a little are my design ideas for the creation of creation obstacles within Capshot. The 160 levels in total were split between me and another intern design for the project.
